Children’s Classes
LA Dance Academy’s Ballet I Class is designed for beginner-level dancers who are new to classical ballet or have limited experience in dance. Each class begins with a proper center ballet stretch to help them develop proper alignment, strength, and flexibility. Then, we’ll move into learning all five positions of the feet and port de bra, working on plies, tendus, and relieves in the center of the floor.
Throughout the class, your child will focus on building a solid foundation in classical ballet technique, including proper body alignment, turnout, and posture. Across the floor, your Ballerina will learn grand battement, step arabesque, pas de bourree, and changements to name a few.
Ballet I
Times: 6:45 pm – 7:30 pm & 6 pm – 6:45 pm (45- Minute Class)
Days of the Week: Mondays (6:45-7:30 pm) & Wednesdays (6-6:45 pm)

Ballet I is a great foundation for all styles of dance. Ballet I is for the child who always likes to twirl like a princess. This class will teach your child all the basic positions, center floor work, and terminology so they can take their dancing to the next level.
When is the Ballet I Class?
When enrolling your child in the Ballet I Class your child will dance with us on Mondays from 6:45-7:30 pm or Wednesdays from 6 pm – 6:45 pm. This class is held once per week.

Required Dancewear for Ballet I
All Students in Ballet I are required to wear the required dancewear at each class.
Each student must wear either a Black or Pink leotard, Ballet Skirt, or Black shorts. Appropriate warm-ups are acceptable. Pink, Skin color, or Black Transition Tights.
Our students are also required to wear a Canvas Ballet Slipper in Pink.
