Need Dancewear?

LA Dance Academy does not require families to purchase dancewear through our studio. Families are welcome to shop wherever is most convenient, including Target, Amazon, Discount Dance, or other dancewear retailers.

For families looking for a simple, studio-approved option, we also offer a selection of dancewear and accessories through our LA Dance Academy Store.

Preschool tap at LA Dance Academy

Preschool

All Preschool students are required to wear the required dancewear at each class

Each student must wear any color leotard with or without a ballet skirt. Pink, Skin color, or Black Tights.
Our students are also required to wear Pink ballet shoes and Black velcro or buckle tap shoes.

Ballet

Ballet Students who are enrolled at LA Dance Academy are required to wear a leotard and tights with pink canvas ballet shoes. Ballet skirts and other ballet warm-ups are acceptable. All ballet students must have hair in a bun.

The following leotard colors per level:
Ballet I: Black or Pink
Ballet II: Black or Light Blue
Ballet III: Black or Maroon

Jazz & Leaps & Turns

All jazz students are required to any color leotard, crop top, hot shorts, capris, or pants
All students are required to wear Tan or Skin-Colored Slip-On Jazz Shoes

Lyrical

All lyrical students must wear either a leotard, tank top, or crop top with shorts or pants.
Our students are also required to wear Canvas Pirouette Shoes

Contemporary

Each contemporary student must wear either a leotard, tank top, or crop top with shorts or pants.

Hip-Hop

All Hip-Hop dancers at LA Dance Academy are required to wear any color tank top or t-shirt with hot shorts, joggers, pants, or sweatpants.
All Hip Hop II dancers must wear either tennis shoes or Vans.

Tumbling & Acrobatic Dance

All tumbling and acrobatic students are required to wear any color leotard, crop top, hot shorts, capris, pants, (stirrup-tights – required for recital only)
